Houses of Dewold is a set built around the world of Dewold, which is ruled by a host of royal Houses that are each scheming behind each other's backs for grandeur grasps of power and wealth. However, many threats lurk beneath the surface as each House thinks its own interests are more important than the health of the plane.
Each of the great five houses is based around a wedge and has its own mechanical theme. House Rey uses the Escape mechanic to attempt to bury the opponent in an avalanche of value. House Nye uses the Deception mechanic to sneakily hit the opponent where it hurts. House Sapner uses the Bloom mechanic to sling spells and copy them over and over to smash the opponent's face in. House Terrel uses the unlimited tokens it gets from the Reserves mechanic as sacrifice fodder to power endless wars. And finally, House Vance repeated uses creatures with the Wane mechanic as sacrifice fodder for greater combinations.
