Jannada is a custom Magic set themed around African mythology. (Zulu, Somail, etc. No Egypt, though) Great cities and empires exist in harmony with Lion King style Animal kingdoms. Elementals and Nomads roam the Sahai desert while lush plant and animal life runs rampant in the Kumra Jungle.
On Jannada, instants and sorceries matter. The set is themed around casting spells and using spells as resources. The set's main mechanic, Spellbound, uses the spells you've cast as resources, while other mechanics, like Focus and Invocation, make your spells more powerful, and Resurrect lets your creatures act like spells.
Mechanics:
Spellbound - (cost, Exile an instant or sorcery card from your graveyard: effect)
The set's major mechanic. Use your spells in your graveyard as a resource! Appears mostly on creatures, but on a few other permanent types as well. Appears in all five colors.
Resurrect cost - (You may cast this spell from your graveyard for its Resurrect cost. If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on it. The next time it would leave the battlefield, exile it instead.)
Flashback for creatures, plus a +1/+1 counter! A spell mechanic put onto creatures seemed like a good fit for a spell-based set. Appears only on creatures and in Black, Red, and Green.
Focus cost (You may cast this spell for its Focus cost. When you do, draw a card.)
Turn your spells into cantrips! Appears mainly on instants and sorceries, but on a few permanents too. Mainly in White, Blue, and Red.
Invocation (As you cast this spell, you may tap two untapped creatures you control. When you do, copy it and you may choose a new target for the copy.)
Consipre is back in a new form! This version of Conspire does not have the "that share a color with it" clause. Invocation appears in all five colors.

Jannada: Rakoa Midseason Update: Chaneglog Added a Resurrect reminder card. It should be associated with all Resurrect cards. (Thanks to Simon for the art!) Changed the Basic Land names to "Jannada Plains, Jannada Mountain 2", etc. Incendiary Revel now deals 6 damage on its final ability instead of 8. Squallwing Screecher now has toughness of 3. Fixed a templating error on Radiant Dawn. Eoncraft has new art.
